Steve Shangold is Chief Executive Officer of RPOworldwide, a Recruiting Process Outsourcing (RPO) firm launched in early 2006. In addition to his role at RPOworldwide, Mr. Shangold serves as President of iGate Corporation’s professional services division. Mr. Shangold joined iGate in 1992, and played an instrumental leadership role during the company’s early growth, initial public offering, and the division’s expansion to $200M.
In 2003, Mr. Shangold spearheaded an innovative internal recruitment strategy which leveraged offshore recruitment centers and cutting-edge recruiting processes to support the organization with round-the-clock candidate sourcing, as well as full-scale recruiting. Based on the success of this model, Mr. Shangold developed the blueprint for RPOworldwide, one of the first offshore-based RPO firms, which provides all-encompassing recruiting services.
In April 2007, Mr. Shangold was named the Human Resources Outsourcing Association (HROA)’s “2007 Thought Leader of the Year”, in recognition of his approach to recruitment business model innovation. Mr. Shangold is a featured author in the book Staffing Strategies for Growing Companies, an insider’s perspective on the challenges of attracting and identifying high quality talent, released June 2007. In the book, Mr. Shangold addresses current and future recruitment challenges in the face of global competition.
Mr. Shangold holds a dual B.A. in Business Administration and Communications from Syracuse University, and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
